Llywelyn

Dwarven Arbalist

Sculpted By Thorbjørn Barone

Llywelyn was born into a life of luxury as the son of one of the oldest families in Tir-na-bor. Growing up, he was surrounded by privilege and power, quickly developing a sense of entitlement and arrogance. Despite his upbringing, Llywelyn was never content with the life of relative ease and opulence his heritage gave him. He was driven by a thirst for adventure and a desire to prove himself as a powerful and capable warrior.

When Llywelyn reached the age of 16, his father arranged for him to undergo combat training, hoping to redirect his impulsive nature into a more disciplined path to become one of the ‘Guardians of the Forge’. Llywelyn embraced his training with enthusiasm, displaying remarkable combat skills that quickly made him one of the most promising prospects.

However, his ambition and overconfidence led him to make a grave mistake during the trials for Guardianship. An impulsive decision resulted in the failure of an expedition and the loss of valuable lives and resources for the kingdom. His fellow dwarves and superiors were outraged by his recklessness, leading to his disgrace and expulsion from the knighthood.

Embittered and humiliated, Llywelyn left the mountain that had once been his home. Determined to regain his lost honour and prove his worth, he embarked on a journey of redemption and self-discovery. Forsaking traditional dwarven weaponry he wields a crossbow, judging himself unworthy to use the axe or hammer that are often family heirlooms in dwarven culture. With his charismatic demeanour and exceptional combat abilities, he sought to forge a new path and rebuild his reputation as a worthy warrior.

As Llywelyn travels through the lands outside of the mountains shadow, he seeks challenges that will not only test his skills but also reshape his character. His past mistakes continue to haunt him, but they also fuel his determination to rise above his failures and earn back the respect he once took for granted.

Overall, Llywelyn's complex personality is defined by his unyielding ambition and his willingness to do whatever is necessary to achieve his goals. His fall from grace serves as a catalyst for personal growth as he endeavours to redeem himself and prove that he can rise from the ashes of his past.
